International Powered Access FederationThe International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide in the widest sense -- through providing technical advice and information, through influencing and interpreting legislation and standards, through its safety initiatives and training programmes. It is a not-for-profit organisation owned by its members who include manufacturers, rental companies, contractors and users.

 

Achilles Safety, health, sustainability, illegal labour and CSR are just some of the areas covered by our construction services. We offer a robust pre-qualification and audit process designed to meet our clients’ high supply chain management standards.


We also provide benchmarking, document management and performance improvement tools for clients including local authorities, and social and private housing sectors.

The BuildingConfidence accreditation programme has been developed by founder member Bovis Lend Lease in partnership with Achilles Information Ltd. The programme is designed to assess the construction industry supply chain in safety, environmental, sustainability, quality, occupational health and financial areas.

Constructionline, UK register of pre-qualified construction services By providing an up-to-date register of pre-qualified suppliers for construction contracts, Constructionline is a commonsense solution that 8,000 buyers from over 2,000 organisations are already making the most of. We pre-qualify all of our suppliers to government standards, and maintain relationships with a range of industry, ePurchasing and Government partners to ensure that we remain relevant to procurement professionals within the construction industry.

Construction Skills We are the Sector Skills Council and Industry Training Board for the construction industry, working with industry, for industry to deliver a safe, professional and fully qualified UK construction workforce.

We work with construction companies to help them improve skills, increase their competitive edge and respond to the many challenges employers face – from the low carbon agenda, through to reducing costs on-site and recruiting the best and brightest talent for their sector.   
 
The Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS) has been the industry recognised scaffold training scheme for over 30 years. It is the preferred scaffolding qualification of all the major organisations including CSCS, NASC, HSE, UKCG, T&G, UCATT and the largest scaffold  systems manufacturers.

NHBC logo Our role is to work with the house-building and wider construction industry to provide inspection and technical services to raise the standards of new homes, and to provide consumer protection for new home owners.
There are approximately 20,000 house builders and developers on NHBC's Register (known as registered builders or registered developers) who agree to comply with our Rules and Standards when building new homes.

NHBC employs over 1,100 staff, including 280 building inspectors across the UK, who carry out and collect data on around one million inspections at key stages of home construction each year. As well as inspectors, we employ surveyors, engineers, energy assessors, health and safety, training, registration and claims staff, who all deliver NHBC's key services to our customers.

We provide new home buyers with a 10-year warranty and insurance policy called 'Buildmark' to provide invaluable protection for new home owners.

NHBC has positioned itself as an expert authority on the housing industry contributing to all aspects of the housing agenda.
